New Delhi, March 8, 2010: Delhi-based eSys Information Technologies Ltd has come out with extended vision and pragmatic competency for broadening its products and services repertoire.
Known primarily as a top-rung ‘IT distribution company’ in India, eSys has successfully diversified into a major PC manufacturer in the country. From its manufacturing facilities based out of Nalagarh (Himachal Pradesh), eSys caters to the Indian PC market comprehensively. Its ‘WIZARD’ range of desktops and laptops have become quite popular in the Indian SMB and enterprise space. Of late, the company launched many products of its own eSys brand (including LCD monitors, portable HDDDs, and speakers) here in India.
However, in a significant development, eSys Information Technologies has ventured into the realm of server manufacturing arena.
“India is home to millions of progressive SMBs. A bulk of them is willing to invest in creating credible IT infrastructure. And for establishing any meaningful IT infrastructure, the centrality of full-fledged servers is simply indispensable. In many instances desktops are being used as servers—an atrocious spectacles indeed. But then, the financial constraints faced by many of these SMBs dissuade them from deploying true-serves. Therefore, we at eSys have taken up a solemn pledge for extending a helping hand to the progressive SMBs by launching top-quality servers with highly-rationalized price tags”, says Vakul Bhatnagar, COO, BBG Division eSys Information Technologies Ltd.
In the first phase, the company has unveiled ‘Tower Server’ in model ‘eWiz-3332T’ in the country. “Targeted at SMBs, this server is a versatile machine from the stable of eSys. We’re confident that the Indian SMBs would harness a good dividend from this product”, says the exuberant Bhatnagar. However, eSys has plans to launch rack-mounted servers in a fortnight time, while blade-servers would be introduced later this year. “We’re going to offer end-to-end server solutions to the SMB entities in the country. However, we would cater to the enterprise space as well with our extended server range”, says Bhatnagar. It is to be noted that eSys Information Technologies has a deep understanding of servers as the company had been distributing IBM servers till recently.
In the meantime, eSys has galvanized its network of 450 channel partners spread across the country for taking its servers to wider SMB audience. The channel engagement drives include comprehensive training to partners on product handling as well as methodologies for integrating them into the overall solution topology. The launch of eWiz-3332T server is very likely to take the company much deeper into the solution space. “Be it servers, storage, networking, security or software applications, we would provide the entire data centre paraphernalia to our SMB customers. Apart from our growing capabilities on server space, we have strong technology partnerships with reputed companies with whom we would be tapping the SMB solution space in totality (with great cost-effectiveness)”, explains Bhatnagar. On the post-sale services front, eSys is going to increase the number of service centres from 35 to 50 soon. It looks very clear that eSys Information Technologies has truly embarked onto the next phase of its operational excellence.
